2016 Senior Rep: William G.
Meet my second (and final!) 2016-2017 DBP Senior, and first ever male, Rep, William! This year I actually received a couple of male entries and I’m so excited that more guys are getting into the game. It used to be the case that teen males hated having their photos taken and to some degree that’s probably still true, but William is definitely defying the odds. He’s a natural in front of the lens and I had such a great time working with him and his mom for his downtown Fort Mill, SC session.
William attends Phillip O Berry Academy of Technology in Charlotte, NC and his mother, Monique, affectionately refers to him as President Obama, due to how busy his schedule is. And I got a chance to see that first hand! When meeting William and Monique for their consultation at Starbuck’s we worked extra hard to come up with a date that didn’t interfere with his jam packed schedule. We settled on an early Sunday morning session in downtown Fort Mill which gave us plenty of time to get our shots in before this sleepy little town began to wake. We started the day on a red train which worked perfectly with his yellow polo, then moved into the city with a colorful mural as our backdrop. His wardrobe change, showed why he’s known for his style of dress. Looking ever so dapper we capped off his session against brick buildings and even ‘caught’ the train!
William was inducted as a YBM Ambassador and considers it to be one of the accomplishments he’s most proud of and I know with the goals he’s set for himself and his future that he will be a welcome asset as a DBP Senior Rep. I look forward to seeing what’s in store for his future and watching him reach higher heights!
