I’m always excited to work with family and friends for their family portrait sessions. I’ve known Danielle and her family for years. Dating back to high school (which I won’t divulge exactly how many years ago that was), so when she asked me to capture family portraits during her parent’s 40th wedding anniversary celebration weekend I was elated to see them all and meet the new additions to their family.
We met at their family home bright and early on a Sunday morning and even though I had visited their home in many, many years ago I was seeing it again for the first time through a photographer’s eye. Not only is their home immaculate on the inside, the outside is just as beautiful! We had several different backdrops to work with which is a photographer’s dream. I was able to get great shots of each individual family, the children as well as a few group shots of everyone. We were working for time since rain was in the forecast and even though we had a few sprinkles here and there we managed to finish up right in time.
It was a true pleasure working with the Reed Family for their family session. I’m always thankful when someone books me, especially if it’s been years since they’ve had family portraits taken. For anyone to choose me for their first time in front of the camera as a complete family unit is a job that I do not take lightly. And I want to make it as pleasurable an experience as possible for everyone involved. I hope the Reeds and their extended families enjoyed their time with me and I’m forever grateful for them allowing me to come into their home and capture these lasting memories. I hope looking back at these images they’ll remember a time filled with lots of love and happiness.
