Capturing the Stories of Christian Women Entrepreneurs Through Personal Branding Photography

There is something incredibly special about being surrounded by women who are building businesses with purpose. Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph my very first entrepreneur retreat — the Her Kingdom Brand Retreat in Greer, South Carolina — and it was an experience I will never forget!

This retreat brought together 10 Christian women entrepreneurs for several days of connection, growth, reflection, and intentional conversations around building businesses that align with their faith and purpose. On the final day of the retreat, I joined the group to capture something that goes beyond a traditional headshot session: personal branding photography that reflects who these women are, what they do, and the impact they are creating.

Creating Personal Branding Photos That Feel Authentic

When entrepreneurs invest in branding photography, they aren’t just looking for a nice picture. They’re looking for images that help tell their story. Each woman had her own personality, business, and vision. My goal was to create images that felt authentic to each person while still capturing the connection and energy of the retreat.

Throughout the day, we focused on:

• professional branding portraits
• images that showcased each woman’s personality
• photos they could use across their websites and social media platforms
• group images that captured the community they built together

One of my favorite parts of retreat photography is that the environment already creates opportunities for natural connection. The laughter, conversations, and friendships happening throughout the day become part of the story.

Why Retreat Photography Matters for Entrepreneurs

Retreats create a unique experience for business owners. They are often moments of growth, celebration, and transformation, and having professional images from that experience allows attendees to continue sharing that story long after the retreat ends. A New Experience I Hope to Capture More Often

This retreat was my first time photographing a multi-day business retreat, and it confirmed something I already knew: I love creating images in environments where connection and storytelling are at the center.
