Gina S. Bridal Portraits – Ballantyne Resort
Back in March I had the extreme pleasure of working with Gina for not only her bridal shower, but also her bridal portraits. The hardest thing about bridal portrait photography (for me anyway) is sitting on the photos for such a long period of time. Especially when they turn out as gorgeous as these did! I’m the type of photographer that gets giddy after a session. So giddy in fact that it’s hard for me to wait a day or two to edit. I typically dive in that same day/night if I don’t have any other obligations. And then I’m immediately sharing sneak peeks on Instagram and blogging the session for my site and Facebook. So imagine having to wait for months before I can share a session with the world! It’s tough, but it has to be done.
So let me tell you a little about this session. Gina and I originally planned to shoot at a nearby park in Rock Hill, SC, but a change of plans occurred and we moved the session to The Ballantyne Hotel. And boy am I glad we did! The various backdrops in and outside of the hotel were breathtaking. From the gorgeous chandelier hanging from the entry way to the hardwood floors that adorned the restaurant hallway. We made use of the entire hotel and since this was a new venue for me to work in I was just as excited as the bride, possibly even more! Everything went off without a hitch and she made the most stunning bride. Her husband is a very lucky man. I also had the pleasure of meeting and working with Gina’s daughter, Chloe, who is just as photogenic as her mother and probably the most polite child I’ve ever met! I think she may have even been inspired to become a photographer herself.
I’m so excited for Gina and all that’s in store for her in this next phase of life. Her wedding took place just moments ago and I can only imagine that things will be just as wonderful as she expected them to be. I wish her and her fiancee many years of love and happiness!
