Jackson Family Portrait Session – Fort Mill Photography
Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with the Jackson Family on a very fun and unique themed family portrait session. I absolutely LOVE when clients come to me with ideas of their own. It make their session special to them. So when Kenya came up with the ideas of ‘Mom + Milkshakes’ I was all for it! Little did I know that she would be so prepared with everything from the props down to their insanely awesome wardrobe! I mean can we just gush for a minute about their coordination?! The bowtie and polka dots, the belted cardigan and the AMAZING tulle skirt (which I’m in love with by the way + was purchased from Etsy)! From head to toe this family was put together!!
We started out our session in a beautiful peach field where the theme of our session came to life. The kids were excited (which is always a plus!) and I was so happy with how the photos turned out. The second half of our session took place in down town Fort Mill, SC and thankfully it was a quiet Sunday afternoon so we didn’t have too many spectators. We did get a few honks of cars passing by though which I’m assuming was a nod of approval.
This session screamed fashion to me so once we got into the city I wanted a bit of a more editorial feel. I’m so glad the Jacksons were game for everything I wanted to try and even came up with a few great ideas of their own. Kenya has redecorated her living room and plans to print these photos out and hang them up. It makes me so happy when clients actually use their images for more than just social media. I can’t wait to see what she does with them in her home and I am happy that I got to be a part of this project with her and her family.
