Why You Shouldn’t Add Filters To Your Professional Photos
We all LOVE a good filter, right? Most of us don’t wake up being selfie ready and so adding on a filter is a quick fix to being able to upgrade your appearance or enhance an image that you share online. It’s part of our norm now and I love a good filter as much as the next person, but I draw the line when it comes to my professional images.
One thing I’ve never understood is why someone would pay good money to hire a talented photographer, receive those images back, prepare to post them to their various social media accounts and then BOOM! slap a terrible filter over the image so that it in no way resembles the original. It’s just never made much sense to me.
Most photographers these days have clauses written into their contracts that prohibit clients from doing this, but that doesn’t stop a few rogue clients from doing so. Check out this IGTV video below where I explain why you shouldn’t add filters to your professional images. And once you’ve checked it out let me know in the comments below what you think!
