Boho Forest Styled Wedding Shoot

Styled shoots are always a lot of fun for me.  They’re also a lot of hard work.  I try to do only do one per year because it can be such a taxing process, but it’s always worth the effort.  When Robyn of Vivid Detail Event Design reached out to me for her first styled shoot I was definitely on board.  I knew she wanted to put her mark on the event industry and I was more than happy to lend a hand and shed some light on what exactly a styled shoot entails.

She came up with the bohemian theme and I told her about one of my favorite places to shoot, a patch of woods off the side of a dirt road that makes for some of the most beautiful background scenery in my images.  Between the two of us we secured an amazing list of vendors that helped us put this day together.  Sometimes it seems like all odds are against you and that definitely happened during the time leading up to this shoot.  Literally everything that could go wrong did go wrong.  But if I’ve learned anything from working in this industry it’s that you have to roll with the punches + stay positive because in the end things WILL work out.  And boy did they!  This shoot turned out beautifully.  Our team of creatives truly made magic that day and I’m so thankful I was able to be a part of it all.  To top it all off we were recently featured by Catalyst Wedding Co which was the icing on an already pretty sweet cake.  I hope I’ll get the opportunity to work with these creatives again in the future because as a team we made something absolutely beautiful!
